Hip Cozy is the boot you put on without thinking about it. A soft suede upper, a faux fur collar that folds over or stands up, and a lining that runs the whole way through rather than stopping at the footbed. It is built for the part of winter that is not dramatic, just cold, and it goes on over anything.

The outsole is a thick rubber with a real tread pattern, which matters more than it sounds. Most boots in this shape have a smooth sole that turns into a hazard on wet pavement. This one grips. The shaft sits just above the ankle so it slips on without a zip, and the collar can be worn up for warmth or folded down to show the fur.

How warm is it, really?

Every listing states the lining and the fabric weight rather than a vague marketing claim. Fleece-lined leggings are lined edge to edge, not only at the panels. Lined footwear is lined through the whole shoe, not just the footbed.

How do I care for this piece?

Care instructions are listed on each product page. As a rule: knitwear is washed cold on a gentle cycle and dried flat, fleece-lined leggings are washed inside out and never tumble-dried on high, and suede footwear is brushed dry and treated with a suede protector before first wear.

Lined all the way through

About This Pair

No. Take your usual US size and choose Wide instead. Sizing up adds length you do not need and lets the heel slip. Wide adds room across the ball of the foot, which is where a thick sock actually takes up space. Match your foot length against the Size Chart panel above.

The tread handles cold wet pavement well. The upper is suede, so treat it with a suede protector spray before the first wear and it will shrug off light snow and damp. These are not waterproof boots and should not be worn in deep snow or standing water.

The pile compresses where your foot sits, which is normal and happens with every lined boot. It stays lofted through the shaft and around the collar. Let them air out between wears rather than storing them somewhere warm and the lining keeps its texture.
