How warm is it, really?

Every listing states the lining and the fabric weight rather than a vague marketing claim. Fleece-lined leggings are lined edge to edge, not only at the panels. Lined footwear is lined through the whole shoe, not just the footbed.

How do I care for this piece?

Care instructions are listed on each product page. As a rule: knitwear is washed cold on a gentle cycle and dried flat, fleece-lined leggings are washed inside out and never tumble-dried on high, and suede footwear is brushed dry and treated with a suede protector before first wear.

Can I save by buying more than one item?

Water rolls off, it does not soak in

Most ankle boots in this shape are treated fabric that gives up after the second puddle. Jeanne uses a sealed water resistant upper with taped seams at the zip, so rain beads on the surface and runs off instead of wicking through to your sock. Wipe them down at the door and they are ready for tomorrow.

Zip on and go

A full length side zipper runs down the inner shaft, so there is no hopping on one foot in the hallway and no stretched out heel from pulling them on. Zip up, zip down, done. The pull is metal, not plastic, which is the part that usually breaks first on a winter boot.

The upper is sealed and sheds rain, slush and wet pavement without letting water through. They are not rubber wellies, so do not stand in deep standing water above the zip line. For everyday rain, snow melt and wet commutes they keep your feet dry.
