Description

Tock is a low top suede sneaker built for the days that do not sit still. The upper is soft suede with stitched panel seams rather than a printed pattern, so the shape holds and the surface picks up light the way real suede does. It is plain enough to disappear into an outfit and specific enough to look chosen rather than grabbed on the way out the door.

Inside there is a cushioned insole that keeps its shape through a long day on hard floors, and the lacing runs through metal eyelets so the fit can be tightened across the instep instead of relying on stretch. The gum rubber outsole is flexible at the ball of the foot and grips on wet pavement, which is the difference between a sneaker you wear to travel in and one you only wear on dry days.

How warm is it, really?

Every listing states the lining and the fabric weight rather than a vague marketing claim. Fleece-lined leggings are lined edge to edge, not only at the panels. Lined footwear is lined through the whole shoe, not just the footbed.

How do I care for this piece?

Care instructions are listed on each product page. As a rule: knitwear is washed cold on a gentle cycle and dried flat, fleece-lined leggings are washed inside out and never tumble-dried on high, and suede footwear is brushed dry and treated with a suede protector before first wear.

Real suede, not a print

Look at the nap. Suede changes tone depending on which way the light hits it, which is why the panels read as material rather than as a colour block. Yes. Order your usual US size and match the foot length in the Size Chart panel above. Half sizes run from 6.5 through 9.5. If you need room across the ball of the foot rather than extra length, choose Wide rather than going up a size. Wide is available in whole sizes 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11.

Treat them with a suede protector spray before the first wear, then brush with a suede brush when they look dull. Let mud dry fully and brush it off rather than washing it out. Avoid standing water. Done that way the nap stays even instead of going shiny in patches.

That is what the cushioned insole and the flexible gum outsole are for. The insole is removable, so if you already wear your own inserts you can swap them in. For a full day of walking, lace them snug across the instep rather than loose at the top.
