• Textured teddy fleece — dense, curly pile with real depth to it. This is the fabric doing the work.
• Wide lapel collar — turns up against wind, lies flat when open, and frames the neckline either way.
• Oversized through the body — a dropped shoulder and generous cut, so a sweater or a blazer fits underneath cleanly.
• Below-knee length — 43 to 45 inches shoulder to hem, long enough to cover a midi dress completely.
• Button front — closed for warmth, open for the draped column line it is designed around.

Where you will wear it

Cold commutes, dinner reservations, weekend markets, travel days, and any occasion where the coat is the outfit. Belt it over a knit dress and boots and you are done. It also does the unglamorous job well — it is warm, and it covers everything.

Colors

Five colorways in the same teddy pile:

• Navy — deep and slightly softened by the pile. The most versatile of the five.
• Black — sharpest, and the easiest to wear to work.
• Red — the statement. Best against black or cream underneath.
• Khaki — muted olive-tan, the quiet neutral that is not beige.
• Dark Green — deep forest, the richest-looking of the range.

Care

• Cold water hand wash, or machine wash cold on a delicate cycle
• Hang to dry on a broad hanger — heat flattens teddy pile permanently
• Do not tumble dry, do not bleach
• Shake out while damp and brush the pile back up once dry

This coat runs S through XL. Measurements are garment measurements taken flat — the coat itself, not your body. It is cut oversized, so there is roughly 8 to 12 inches of ease built in already.

Take your normal size. The volume is in the pattern; sizing up buys you bulk, not drape.

Measured flat by hand — allow 1 inch (2 to 3 cm) variance. Bust and waist are full circumferences with the coat closed; length runs from the shoulder seam to the hem.

Three things worth knowing

• Take your usual size. The oversized silhouette is already cut in. The photos show the intended fit at true size.
• Belt it if you want a waist. The coat is cut straight and slightly wider at the waist than the bust. A belt over the top is how the shape in the styling shots is made — the coat does not do it on its own.
• Sizes stop at XL. There is no 2XL or above in this style.

Length and height

Below the knee across the range, and the length only grows about 2.5 inches from S to XL. Under 5 ft 4 in, expect mid-calf. 5 ft 5 in to 5 ft 9 in, just below the knee as pictured. Over 5 ft 10 in, at the knee.
